chanter_greenie: a Pringles can with the words 'you can't write just one' written across it (drabbles are like pringles)

Be advised, this post is constantly being updated as characters get more details or, as of the latest edit, join the cast. Hi Squirt!

I finally got this sorted. Thanks to, I think it was [personal profile] corvi? who tipped me to the fact that this series needed a character list and badly. I wanted to get this posted before going back to work drained me again.

The details under the cut contain spoilers up a storm, especially for 'In The Clear', 'Halo' and 'Dual Path Echo'. Several pieces not yet released for sponsorship also have information revealed here, so be forewarned when clicking.

Some of the characters listed haven't shown up in stories yet. Some have less or more description than others. These two states don't always coincide. If something's missing (most of the daemons, for example) it may well be filled in later. Consider this a work in progress.

I've borrowed (with permission) some of [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith's formatting for everyone's qualities, and I could not resist dreaming up the wings they'd have if they landed in her Fledgling Grace universe and the superpowers they'd have if they were in her Terramagne. To note: None of these characters are actually in Terramagne or the Fledgling Grace universe. Those lines are just musing on my part. Ditto the daemon thoughts via His Dark Materials canon.

For those unfamiliar, most of the characters on this list are either Canadian citizens or American refugees working with people attempting to cross the US-Canada border. They form part of a network of transporters, safehouse operators, medics at need, radio broadcasters, and all sorts of other types of friendly help to desperate people. They all do, or will, know each other to some degree. The members of the orange!SH team are not listed here, mainly because I haven't gotten to writing about most of them as yet, but also because they're described in thumbnails elsewhere via the core canon. Quinn is, so far, the exception, as he spends no small amount of time on the road, up north, and on the road up north.

I will be getting around to writing about the orange!SH team down in Texas, and their contact with the scarlet!team. I just haven't yet. I got rather attached to the northern folks. :)

Adrian:
Originally from somewhere on the Great Plains i.e. the American west. Taller than some and on the leaner end of average; one or two people have told him he needs a square meal. Faintly peachy-pinkish fair, with darker red-blond hair that's often shading just a little toward overlong and eyes that can't seem to decide whether or not they're hazel. Mid-twenties. His heritage is mostly Cornish and some English. Biromantic demi-bisexual.
Adrian has scars, most if not all of which are hidden under his clothing. they're from an American border patrol nearly catching up with him and a group of others on their way out via Montana. That patrol nearly killed him. Doc saved his life, which neither man's forgotten.

Demi-bisexual. Carlos is in his mid-twenties and goes to college part-time, while working the rest of the time at a local library branch. Pansexual and unashamed of the fact, but very traditional regarding the progress of relationships and what happens during same. Somewhere in her mid twenties. Aromantic and pansexual. Lise has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, and is very well acquainted with the glass ceiling.

Louis's best friend of approaching a decade. Nova Scotian since the day he was born, and proud of it. His heritage is largely English, but there's enough Quebecois in his family for him to have gotten his name honestly. Not really. I haven't read+remembered enough of the stories, and I haven't really perused this list — just skimmed down it. Maybe sometime soon.
